I've also had a hands on with the S4.

It's lighter than the S3 and you can feel it.
The screen looks really good too.
It has a slightly more square feel to it as well, not as rounded as the S3 - really nice feel
The hover preview is a nice feature and works quite well
It also has a scroll feature using your head - tip head up/down - page scrolls

Overall, not a bad device from the (too short ) time I had with it.

Current Phone:
- Android: Samsung SM-G900F Galaxy S5 (XT)
- Win Phone 8: Samsung ATIV S (XT)

Current Tablet:

- Acer Iconia 7" Android Tablet

I have also had hands on time - a very nice device and in my opinion a big step up.  Still prefer the size of my Note II, but if I hadn't been spoiled by it I wouldn't hesitate in buying the S4.  Screen is very nice, it feels better than the s3 and it is so light!

I *think* I know what you mean about the s2, and if it is the case then no.  Looks much more like the Note 2 in terms of colour, but maybe not quite as colourful. Definitely sharper though!

Dick smith has changed their plan.

As of today we have been telling customers that Dick Smith in general will not have the S4 on launch day, all stock has been sent to the Silvia park store, about 80 units of both black and white.

If you want to get a S4 outright that would be your best bet if you live in that area, if you don't you can go to your local dse and place a pre-order and get 10% of accessories.

kiwitrc: Confirming Wolfson DAC in the S4.

Note this is only for the Octa version, not the one we're getting here in NZ.

The screen colour looks great! Really nice ... well to my tired old eyes anyway :)

It seems crisper than the Note 2 (probably due to the increase in dpi). I didn't get to try the different settings so I've no idea what they look like unfortunately.

Yeah read that, but no mention that the other version is getting something different.

It is. It will have the standard Qualcomm SoC-bundled DAC. Supercurio has already done a Voodoo Report analysis of the 600 version confirming this.

Anyone know if the likes of Clove will be getting the Octa at any stage, or any online retailer for that matter?
I really want to get the Octa, but also want to future-proof myself with getting an LTE device.

I think I read somewhere that the Exynos version is actually LTE capable, but it just hasn't been enabled? Is this correct? If that is the case, would it just be a simple baseband firmware update in the future?
