freitasm: Arghhh. Two seconds to wake up is a bit on the slow side. Seriously annoying.

How often is it happening for you? I get it maybe every 100th wakeup, so it's not really an issue.

My note 3 is always bad at waking up when getting off a phonecall. Sometimes up to 10 seconds before it will even light up and let me try to press the hangup button. Its at the stage where I hold it away from my ear when I am thinking its near the end of the call so the screen is already on.

This happens about four out of five times.

I believe it can be done. Have a read through this thread, people were talking about flashing F firmware on the I to get rid of the restrictions on the dock.

I get around a 1 second delay on wake. It's not always that long but doesn't seem to be caused by anything I control. It's the most annoying thing about the phone.

Followed by a hardware Home button.

I wonder if anyone from Telecom can tell us when we can expect the ANE2 update. It's rolled out to most of the rest of the world over the past couple of weeks.

I am going for a coffee and on my way will swap a micro SIM with a nano SIM so I can use the HTC One M8 full time. Seriously disapointed with the S5, but not surprised.

I disabled all the Samsung crapware with the exception of its appstore and it made a huge difference to the lag.

I really really wanted to go for the M8 after loving my M7 for the last year, but in the end the camera pushed me towards the S5, I'm happy enough with my choice.

What process did you use to disable the "crapware"?

expectations are a funny thing...

i came from an s2 to an s5 - and i am as happy as larry ie. build, speed (cpu and ram), battery life, camera quality, hw gadgets (scanner / heart rate sensor), storage, android version, (even bloatware seems less intrusive)  - are all a significant UG for me

so that's the trick - just UG every 3 years and then everything looks awesome : P

In my opinion the S2 was the best form factor phone ever made (height and width). If they could only just stretch out the screen towards the edges more.

STRONGLY disagree. Hardware home button single best reason to stay with Samsung phones.
