Batman: Just a sec, everyone with the green issue is on the oled not the lcd one?

The mate 20 is lcd and does not have the issue
Mate 20 pro is oled and there are 2 suppliers that supplied the displays. LG oled displays have the issue

I have a black mate 20 pro. Got mine after 1 week of launch. How do I check what type of oled I have? Could not find it on settings

I asked the same question, there is apps that will tell you.  Look for Device info HW on the market, should be on the page when you open the app.  More info about what you should look for is in this thread

My green tint hasn't got any worse for me. In fact, i really have to force the issue to even make it visible. Basically it needs to be a grey (dark grey preferably) and in a dark room. I would hardly ever be in those conditions so it doesn't worry me. Maybe i got lucky.

I use a useful app called Display Tester by the way, you can manually tell it to cycle through set colours.

I used an app called "Device Info HW" to check what screen I had. Mine is LG. I don't have a green screen yet.

The problem as described is probably a case by case basis and not widely impacted. Good to see they are replacing the phones instead of repairing them.

Should be noted the camera makes it look worse than it looks to the naked eye

So...yeah....

You could say it suddenly got worse. Will be in touch with JBHiFi tomorrow. I don't notice it in every day situations yet but considering the degradation in just two weeks I'm not waiting for that to happen.

God that post sounds like a Facebook market listing. If you wanted the pro why by the cheaper one then ask people for a swap when the pro costs more?

sorry i thought they were around the same price with one being thinner curved oled screen and one being wider flat lcd screen closer to tv profile. i find mine being a bit too wide and thought if someone unhappy with their green screens maybe wants a screen that isn't faulty. oops.

Hey guys, I would like to share my experiences with the green screen tint. i purchased my emerald green mate 20 pro from pb tech and received it on launched day. I notice the green tint after 2 weeks of usage. I called up Huawei and they told me to take it to the authorised repair centre which is fonefix in mt wellington for replacement. I popped into there today, they verified the fault and replaced it with a full retail unopened box within an hour. They know that the fault is only with LG displays, so the replacement once is an BOE display. Im very happy with the huawei service!

Remember to backup your phone before taking it in, and bring the box and accessories too!

Thanks mate, after read your post i pop down to fonefix today and they replaced my mate20 pro in half hour, Technician advised they have to open all the box and make sure the replacement unit they received are BOE display. coz there are few unit they received still with LG panel...

so guys, if you have green screen issue with your mate20pro, take it to fonefix and they will replace it with BOE model. they only have limit stock so go there ASAP!!
