Noel Leeming had stocks in Wairau. I had a play with the floor model and have to say the screen is super impressive. Really strong colours and gorgeous resolution. Touchwiz did not lag much but as with Samsung usual occasional lag home screen scrolling. Lovely phone, wish it was water proof!

Does anyone know what the deal with the Noel Leeming phone is that is on special this weekend? - https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/shop/communications/smartphones/samsung-galaxy-note-4-black-galaxy-note-4-smartphone-black/prod133053.html  Apparently they have a different Vodafone version?

Does that mean it's somehow locked to only Spark sims?  Would you be able to just put a 2Degreees or Vodafone sim in it?
Or does this just refer to the apps that are installed by default?

Any other deals spotted for Labour weekend?

The NL Labour Weekend specials (20%) exclude Samsung tablets. So the question now arises, is the Note 4 a phone or a tablet?

I went to Noel Leemings in Botany.  They said the Galaxy Note 4 on sale this weekend for $959 is "optimised" for Spark but 'should' work on other networks.  They thought this would mean it maybe wasn't as fast or the battery wouldn't last as long or something but were light on specifics.
They also have no stock currently in any branch in Auckland.  Earliest expected stock is 30th Oct.

I think what it means is that the spectrums will be limited.

it wont have a gazillion frequencies like the global one.

so the phone ll spend less time searching freq, n hence more battery life.

I have recently seen a note 4 review on youtube which confirmed this ( usa version )

Been enquiring almost daily at different retailers, and searching online. No one seems to know yet. My wife is really keen for one.

I went in to the Noel Leeming store in St Luke's to see if they had any in stock, was told there was only one and it was of the Vodafone variety, priced at $1149. In contrast the spark one was priced at $959 but was out of stock!

As far as flashing over Spark's version is concerned...shouldn't be a difficult prospect I imagine!

I'm really hoping that the wait won't be a long one... When I preordered mine, I took a quick peek of NL's systems and it said that they were expecting stock on the 30/10! Really hoping this is the case!

As for the cases and screen protectors, I had a quick look at eBay and picked out a few things not yet widely available in NZ...
