Rappelle:mahdibassam:Rappelle: How does rooting and custom roms affect S-Pen usage? I am guessing a custom rom will make it 100% useless? I really want to root as I have done with all of my previous devices, but tripping knox is something I'm not sure I want to do considering it voids warranty. Hoping a method comes out that doesn't trip it.
It does not affect the functionality of any part of the phone, including the S-Pen, it would be useless if it did.
Don't hold your breath though, its unlikely to see a method come out without tripping knox , Note 3 has been out for a year now and still hasn't seen it.
So you're saying I could flash Cyanogenmod for example, and still have use of the S-Pen including features such as Air Command etc? How about multi tasking? I am feeling kind of doubtful in both respects.
No, thats not what i am saying at all. you asked if Rooting affect Spen , and i said no, it doesnt.
What you said is installing custom rom , like cyanognmod, not rooting. If you install custom roms that are not based on samsung's firmware (like CyanogenMod) you WILL lose Spen, Multi windows, and all other samsung features.
