Kopkiwi: Now, final question, any idea how to change the software key from multi window back to settings? Annoying change.

There's another exposed module that can remap the recent apps button. Haven't tried it though. I use Nova Launcher, where holding, instead of tapping the recent apps button brings up the settings instead.

NikT: NZ is not getting the Note Edge as far as I know.

There is an open market variant for Australia, which would likely be the best bet assuming it doesn't have the same silly restrictions as other Galaxy S & Note devices for AU (Unable to change the dock icons et cetera).

Well thats a helluva shame :-/

that makes me curious about where Parallel Importers will be sourcing the Note Edge from, at least 3-4 NZ sites have the Note Edge 32G variant listed for preorder, some have pricing already, others dont. best price yet is $1209NZ + shipping.
Im tempted to preorder at that price, but all tech articles are warning not to pre-order due to presumed shortages happening.

Hi.. this bugged me to no end but I didnt want to root my Note 4. Just found an app called "All in one gestures". Works brilliantly.. overrides physical buttons to whatever you want. No root needed.  Lol, for a while I had both the recent/back buttons mapped to just back.
[Edit: not free, but pretty cheap anyway]

Anyone got a fix for the app list at all? That really bugs me since pagination of 100s of apps is so slow to find anything

NikT:
Krishant007: anyone know of the best deal on the note 4 at the moment? are there any differences between the different telco versions - usually there is none but prudent to check. also, i heard that the telcos were locking their phones, but those phones are the ones on plans so shouldnt affect the high end devices right?

 - No-one is locking Notes locally
 - It's always recommended to get the variant intended for the network you're using, but all three variants will work on all three networks as they're the same hardware
 - Best deal depends on your needs & whether you're buying outright/interest-free/on a term plan :)

Note 4 is on Sale at Warehouse Stationary if anyone is buying. Down to $949

Switching the runtime from Dalvik to ART removes the recent button lag.

Been working for me so far.

Does anyone else find that once again samsung had released a phone with flakey wifi? Doesnt show half the networks often, and I can only resolve with either airplane mode off and on again, or else restarting the phone. Wifi off and on again doesnt achieve anything.

Defiantly something screwy with it, wifi analyzer shows all the networks it can see at 0dB when it is acting up. After airplane mode on and off again, they are back to the -40 to -80 range where they should be.

Anybody know any of the major retailers that sell screen protectors for these? Having trouble finding one. Bought some from amazon but they're up to two weeks away. I realise there's an argument for not needing one, but I just struggle not to wrap a device worth over a grand up in cotton wool so to speak

PBTech have the samsung ones in mate.

I was like you, ordered the Spigen protector and case from Amazon. Took a while to arrive; i was handling the phone so carefully and was even wrapping it up in a little microsoft bag i had lying around.

The little things make the biggest difference.

Get a thin tempered glass one, I have an iLoome one on my Note 3 and will never get a regular screen protector again.

Thanks, I'm in Hamilton and the PB website said they didn't have any in stock, but ended up finding them at NL. Will be handling it like a baby until the Verus Thor I ordered arrived.. hopefully the Dec arrival estimate is overly pessimistic!

Was tempted by glass, but ended up going plastic as I'd read the glass might not adhere to the curved edges very well? I guess it depends if it covers the whole screen or has a small margin around the edges so only covers the flat part.

Samsung ones I bought are doing a good job for now anyway
