networkn: I don't get it, why would you spend $370 on this, and not $429 and get a Galaxy S3?

I wouldn't spend $370 on it.  The 8GB model is $299 in JB HiFi, including a very nice flip case.  So you're comparing 299 vs 502 (lowest delivered price of $472 plus $30 for a case), ie 67% extra for the S3
Plus i only paid 270 for my 16gb getting it off Amazon

How can you get a Moto g XT1032 16GB from Amazon my current price from the UK with out freight or credit card charges is $284.64

(1) Use US, exchange rate is better
(2) Use a prime trial
(3) Use a youshop promo code.

My total was $261NZ to my door..

I bought mine off Amazon US and shipped it to Youshop and the total was under $270 for the 16GB. You just need to make sure you buy the global GSM if you buy it from the US

Is there any brick and mortar store apart from JB Hi Fi that sells the Moto G?

All comments are my own opinion, and not that of my employer unless explicitly stated.

Harvey Norman have them too, looks to be marketed as "2 Degrees Moto G". Perhaps they throw in a sim card? When I bought one from JB Hifi for the wife it was not marketed for any network (and no sim).

That is a mistake of  Harvey Norman, its a open phone unlocked phone any carrier.

I went into the shop and asked them, they were totally confused, its not being advertised very well. they have one on show
but no read details give like any Carrier and dual sim.

This is available in all 2degrees stores from today at $299 for the 8gb model but we have no ETA on the 16gb, dual sim model and like all of our phones they are unlocked. Harvey Normans are probably selling them as 2degrees as they will have been supplied by us.

Pretty decent phone for the money! I have been playing with it all morning and cant fault it.

My opinions are purely my own and are not at all those of my employer 2degrees.

How does  this work as what I cant find out all need for the details on the phone size weight etc.

And most US firms will not ship to a different address that is not on your credit card, so how do you pay Amazon.?

Thanks

Toledo, do you have any idea if it is possible to 'hide' or remove the 2nd/unused sim details (no signal/no sim) from the status bar?

It tells you the dimensions and weight on the Moto G Amazon page under "Product Details".

It costs the minimum to send the Moto G through YouShop which is $17.25. I used the promo code for 10% off that PottsyNZ posted, which came to $15.53. That promo code has expired now though.

When going through the checkout process on Amazon.com you can select to ship to a different address, which you just input your YouShop address that was generated for you when you sign up. Then you pay with your Credit Card.

When the parcel arrives at the YouShop warehouse, they calculate the shipping costs for you and you just pay it. Then they send it...

So after reading your past few posts, I'm unsure why you're so concerned with buying off Amazon as it's pretty simple process. I've never ran into any problems.

At the time of buying my 16GB Moto G the other week, it cost me $267 delivered.

Do you know whether 2degrees stores are selling the flip cases separately? As JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Normans don't seem to be...

I'm experiencing a problem on my Moto G with low in-call volume (playing media/youtube etc is fine). It is very difficult to hear the other person speaking - applies whether or not I am using the speaker or hand held. From doing a search it appears it is a problem after the Android 4.4 update. There is no fix yet but it is a software issue and can usually be fixed by lowering the volume down then raising it back up.

I am experiencing it with my imported Moto G (running 4.4) while my wife is not (NZ New on 4.3). Just letting you guys know in case you are/about to experience it.

Regarding Youshop

You can get 10% off Youshop if you use the promo code "Westpac" and use a westpac card. Applies to USA and UK warehouses, expires August

I used this code and also ordered a case from overseas for my moto g as well as a few other things. You may aswell buy a case at the same time because if you pay at the same time for all your parcels you get $6 off per additional parcel after your first one.
