What is the to-the-door cost at the moment for the 64GB model? Also, are other purchasers getting stung by Customs? There's some mention here of people being charged; is the current state of the dollar meaning it's close to the tipping point when combined with shipping costs? I've a friend interested in purchasing one, but just isn't sure of the current price. Thanks!

Got hit with a customs charge of $118.14, declared it at $349 USD. That's what I get for telling the truth :(

Everything has cost me $694.53 thus far for a case, screen protector, the phone, youshop and customs.

Ouch! I feel for you... Clearly an honest declaration is risky if you want to ensure thehone lands at a better rate than it sells for here. Have passed your experience onto my friend who can make the call of truth versus savings!

I see anyone can pick up a OnePlus One currently without invite for a limited time.
Was looking at getting one, but only seems to ship to US or Canada. Is that the same with invites as well that they dont ship to NZ.

Why people are persisting with this crappy invite system is beyond me.. If they can't sell it on the open market then they deserve to go out of business..

The invite system creates a (arguably artificial) buzz.
For example, these threads are effectively 'bumped' by the invite offers...

Don't know if this really helps the business at the end of the day. Just sell the blimmin phone.
BTW: Looks like a very nice phone. Just a little rough around the edges (RE: the anandtech review)
