with moderate (in my books) use i just managed 48hrs before it gave up

display on 4hrs10min, wifi 8hrs47min, also left GPS on for a day which ive never done - was mainly surfing web on 3g and wifi, played a few rounds of robodefence, and a ton of monkeying around updating apps and reconfiguring my homescreens and widgets.

man it took like 29 attempts to get that tron wallpaper to center the circles around my circle battery and even then its still not 100% centered! lol

I'm on Juwe's 4.3 JVH so will have to try out one of Damian's JVH kernels, CF 3.2 is what I'm using a the moment but when I have some spare time I'll see about damians, should be just as good!

What sort of signal strength are most of you guys getting? at home mine averages ~ -90dBm and at work -100 to -113 dBm

The -65dBm on that screenshot you posted isn't great though.

At home, wi-fi signal varies from -34 to -64. Cell signal goes from full bars to 0 bars in the same house. I'm considering getting a cell signal-boosting antenna doodad because the place in the house where I spend most time is where the signal is weakest. (and, no - it's not the dunny, smarty. You know who you are

The -65dBm on that screenshot you posted isn't great though.

Surely -65 is quite decent? The best I've seen without sitting the phone right next to the antenna is -34. That indicates 5 full bars on my SGS. Signal disappears at -113. I think a lot of folk would kill for -65 all over their home or office...

Its dBm, not just dB...

Right you are. Just tested it with full bars (81 dBm) and with 4 bars it jumped up to 93 dBm.
65 sounds pretty good in that case.

If you're 2degress or Vodafone, BUJP5 is the go - BUJS1 was good too, but a bit harder on batter life IMO, which is clearly the LAST thing you need!!
