lokhor:
Pulinski: The problem must be Hardware or a Cable fault. I cannot mount as a Mass Storage Device either.

When you plugged it in did it start to install drivers or just not recognise at all? might pay to try a different cable.

Nothing happens. Zippo. Cable used was the Samsung Cable that came with the phone.

Good news however....I am fully back to 2.1 Eclair, as if nothing happened. Titanium Backup is superb.

I will try another cable, when I get into work on Monday. I have had success there with connecting the phone to that PC.

doesnt sound like an Odin problem, but more a USB connectivity one.

as you suggested, try with another cable or at work on another computer - test first by ensuring you can browse your internal SD drive when you plug it in via USB, to ensure data works on the cable (just getting a charge is not enough) - then unplug phone, boot into download mode, get Odin ready, then plug it in. as you see in the video, you should just see the yellow indicator come up, showing that Odin detects the phone. then proceed with loading the ROM files/PIT file etc as normal.....

good luck

Good news at the moment.

Got Odin to talk to the phone at work so looks like a cable fault.

My phone is flashing Darky's Rom as I type.

Got my I9000 last Tuesday - upgraded from the stock 2.1 trough 2.2 and now 2.3.4 (I9000XXJVQ) and the performance improvement over the 3 versions is amazing. No trouble with modem and now there is no telecom cruft. Love it.

Yes. You can.

Read the last 20 pages of this thread.

Galaxy S has gone to its new owner. HTC Sensation has gone to its new
owner. Galaxy S3 has gone to its new owner. Now using Galaxy Note 3. Skipping Note 4 I think...

great work, go enjoy and hope all runs smooth for you now.

by the time youre ready for the next upgrade you should have a stable fully functioning 2.3.4 rom available. im still on 2.3.3 waiting for a bit more stable kernel to be released before i flash again :)
