On your phone:
Settings --> Wireless & networks --> Mobile networks --> Access Point Names --> press your "Menu" key --> select "New APN"

Enter the Internet Settings found on that 2degrees site to setup your mobile internet. Save that APN.

Go back and create a "New APN", and enter the MMS Settings to be able to send pxt messages.

:)

Now I have a problem lol... Not sure if anyone else here in NZ is experiencing this problem, but here goes. It appears quite a large number of HTC users have the same problem as me around the world (the topic can be found here).

A small handful of my contact photos have never been able to sync with their respective Facebook profile pictures. The solution that's always worked for me is to remove my "Facebook for HTC Sense" account (in Settings --> Accounts & Sync) and set it up from scratch.

Unfortunately, I tried doing that last night, and since then, I have not been able to retrieve my friends list at all... :( I tried again this morning, but I'm still getting the same "Connection Error" whenever it attempts to retrieve my friends list via the "Online directories" option in the "People" application.

I Googled the problem, and it seems like a lot of people have the same problem around the world (link to the HTC support forum provided earlier in this post). A few users have contacted HTC about it, and it appears it is an "HTC Sense and Facebook" connectivity problem, and not the phone's problem (that's a relief!!).

My contacts list is looking extremely boring and bare at the moment lol haha... :(

Anyone else here in NZ have this problem? :)

I stopped sync'ing my contacts with FB friends because the little green bubble with the number in it which appears on the contact profile pic frustrated me too much ><

Update 4.4 for Google Maps is out, and gives you places icon now. You need to reboot your phone after doing the update to get the Places icon.
