Hi people

Im having trouble getting accessories for my note 7, can i get some advice?

im a rough guy, so i'm looking for a good impact/shock proof case that works with a good screen protector that can prevent scratches

i bought a spigen one, and enquired about uag ones, unfortunatelly both of these don't work together with a samsung note 7 screen protector (they peel off the edges of the screen protector)

can someone recommend a set that works? a set or one single product that offers both shock and scratch protection

Bear in mind Chinese Note 7s are using Snapdragon, so if Hong Kong gets their batches from China and you want the Exynos, youll have to dig around.

Im using the spigen case with the official screen protector too, the protector also peels off slightly at the top but ive cut it carefully with my scissors (maybe like 1mm) and it fits perfectly.

any feedback from those who have got new handsets.

I want to buy one but persistent issues are putting me off and i rather wait for the next gen when hopefully there ll be no issues as Samsung would have learnt a expensive lesson.

Where you going to purchase it from?

I go to Hong Kong tomorrow for a month. I would have bought one in NZ by now but I was on the fence, then the recall happened.

eracode:

With a starting price of NZ$1600: including the recall arrangements, via Vodafone I got

- $300 off to start with (the 'launch offer')
- 128GB memory card included by Samsung - $100?
- free Galaxy J5 which I sold unopened/new on Trademe for $289

So my fresh Note 7 effectively cost me a bit over $900.

And today I have just sold my old HTC One M7 (which the Note 7 replaces) for $150.

Total net cost of N7 was less than $800.

So the overall result of persevering through the recall was pretty much worthwhile.

With all that happened, in hindsight I regret not being an early adopter! I'd have loved all the bonuses, especially a free J5.

Yeah thanks. I'll be pretty clear which one I want when I go to the stores. Hopefully it won't be too hard to find. So far what I've read online indicate both versions are available.

I've read of 'dual SIM' models.

What's the benefit of that?

Its a great tool.

I think you will find that it is not a major issue (unless, of course), it gives a media outlet some major headlines to write home about. There have been some positive comments about battery performance with new stock here in this thread over the past few days, but I suspect this sample is too small at this stage.

I am confident that my new Note 7 will continue to do the job I set it out to do, but will keep a close watch on things. However, having gone out to lunch today at 12.50 with a charge of 98% (fast-charged wirelessly) and returning back to the office at 5.05pm with 84% charge after 3 phone calls, wi-fi constantly seeking a connection, Bluetooth on - I think that is a good result.

Those journalistic so called "persistent issues" are not putting me off at this stage.

Check out OtterBox. My note 4 has been repeatedly been thrown from 1.5m height consistently every week or so for one year now. No issue here.

I'm sure there is a logical answer but why ...... no WHY would you do that?

But I could do that on Orange in the UK in the early 90's with only one SIM and a bog standard Nokia. I had two numbers on the one card. Why can't we just do that? Or can you have 4 on a dual sim?

I seen people have one sim for call/txts and the other sim for data from different telcos, because one has cheaper data etc.

Also I thought all Note 7s were dual sim if you're willing to give up the micro sd slot? Correct me if I'm wrong though. You could even jam 2 sims and a micro sd card into the tray if you're careful enough.
