No I did it myself. It confirmed that the Geekzone deal is a very good one with 10% discount.

The Geekzone discounts are based on the Google price so they were always going to be better. The pay monthly deal of $360 off is a steal.

wiseone: I very much want the aluminium one at 128GB.  Full price it is I guess.

You're willing to pay $360 more for aluminium?

Yeah, don't read too much into my username.

I hope 2degrees and Huawei are able to process this offer smoothly.

I just checked Google store and the status as of 9:22pm:

Aluminium 32GB: Coming Soon
Aluminium 64GB: Available
Aluminium 128GB: Coming Soon

Graphite 32GB: Coming Soon
Graphite 64GB: Available
Graphite 128G: Coming Soon

Frost 32GB: Not on Sale
Frost 64GB: Coming Soon
Frost 128GB: Not available in NZ

Seems like handsets with status 'Coming soon' are selling like pies.

I suspect that the stock in the Google store doesn't include what Huawei and 2D have got. They will likely have their own secure supplies..... I hope

Only the opening post ;)

 freitasm:
Geekzone members have an exclusive Pre-launch offer that gives them either;

  • a 10% discount off the handset for an outright purchase at $1,079.10 (saving $119.90)
  • On a Pay Monthly $39 plan or above with $29 upfront this $1,079.10 would normally be $43.75 per month over 24months, but Geekzone members will also get the launch offer of $10 off per month so for them will be $33.75 per month – overall saving of $359.90 over 24 months. This Offer ends November 1st

2degrees doesn't do fixed term contracts. At least they haven't for a while. What plan are you on?

Perhaps they are paying off a phone on contract?

That sucks. I thought it was several years since 2degrees retired all their fixed contracts, looks like I was wrong. You could give them a try anyway, I can't imagine the termination fee would be much this close to the end. Especially as you'd just be switching to one of the Pay Monthly plans.
