So Mobicity are a bit dodge with sending their items, what about their after-sales support. Clove or Mobicity? I think that is the deciding factor as I bought a sgs from eking a few weeks ago, the button went lop-sided(still worked but was a pain) and so far I am not impressed with their "I cannot see anything wrong with it" attitude :-/

According to Mobicity's NZ web site, all phones are sent to their Sydney warehouse, then on to either Auckland or Wellington, then on to the customer. As they're receiving the phone, not the customer, they're responsible for customs and GST. If there's anything dodgy going on, the customer isn't liable for it.

The big problem with ordering from Clove is that they're based in the UK. If anything happens that requires you to send them back the phone, the shipping will be expensive and take days at best.

One of my workmates had a good experience with Mobicity last year. He urgently wanted a HTC Desire HD, and bought from them as they had the phone "in stock". When he found that "in stock" meant "in stock in overseas warehouse" (which seems to be common with phone importers), he cancelled the order. They were quick to respond, and quick to refund his money.

I know that this is pre-sales service, not after-sales, but it's certainly a good sign. And if you do need to send the phone back, you don't need to send it to the other side of the world.

Unfortunately HTC didn't put a quad band 3G radio in the Sensation. For a flagship phone I think this is a bit of an oversight.

What was the price you saw?

I ordered my GS2 from Clove on 16th April and now I can't wait :-)

Clove have told me that they expect all orders placed up until the end of this week will be delivered from their first shipment due to be shipped out from 3rd of May.

It'll be interesting to see how long Clove take to deliver vs Mobicity. I firmly believe Clove will be quicker (depending on Customs...).
I'm not expecting mine until the week of the 9th. I hope it'll be here the week before, but don't have high expectations for a fast delivery. The waiting is killing me!!

Clove should be quicker. On whatever date stock is made available, Clove can send direct to purchasers. With Mobicity, it has to go to their Sydney warehouse, then to the Auckland or Wellington distro centre, then on to customers.

The only way that Mobicity could end up being quicker is if Customs have a backlog (and if commercial shipments have priority), or if they pull out a Clove phone for a random thorough inspection.

I ordered mine in late Feb/early March, can't quite remember exactly, since either of those timeframes is shrouded in the mists of times past... To say I'm waiting rather badly is understatement. Still waiting to hear about my MHL cable from the MHL consortium too, they don't have too long to sort it out now!

That looks to me like a:
- Ford Falcon but the video has been flipped...to make it look American
- with a fake, computer generated NZ number plate if you pause it?
- Car in background looks like a dirty Honda Jazz(with backwards number plate)

Could be, the interior of the car is left hand drive as well and looks like the Falcon interior as well. Can that be achieved by flipping the video?

Suppose it would easily be Australian filmed too.

Yeah our current phones already seem too? Same with the Nexus S, so not sure if it's a slightly upgraded version or if it's exactly the same as our current one
