Hi there, I have had my S3 for less than a month now and just dropped it onto a tile floor from approx 1m. There is a crack on the screen and it does not respond to any sort of touches.

It has this case on it, useless as far as I am concerned.

What are my options? After searching online, it seems that the Samsung warranty will not cover the screen and i doubt Vodafone's will be either (I purchased it from them). Could insurance policy cover it? My dad takes care of that so I honestly have no idea what the process is. Otherwise what sort of costs am I looking at to replace the screen, will there be extra repairs due to the lack of touch response?

As a 16 year old who paid for it on his own, I really cannot afford another s3 or massive bills. I figure I'll take the phone into Vodafone tomorrow just to try my luck, if figure i may as well try...

If it is covered by house insurance, it is likely to have a large excess. You can get a new screen fitted for about $300 on trademe. It won't be covered by warranty.
