I'm starting a new thread because  the Zenfone 2 threads are all locked and also because I don't know if this is a handset specific issue or not:

Just last week I swapped my 14-month old S5 for a 2 week old Zenfone 2. I'm loving the extra screen size, but now that my wallet case has arrived, I've noticed a small issue.

I hold my phone in my right hand, which is impaired in strength due to CP. Because of this weakness, the most comfortable way to hold the new, bigger, phone in its wallet case is upside down. But when I do, I notice that the screen does not rotate, as in the screenshots below.

It seems the sensors don't detect the 180 rotation. If in landscape mode, the screen stays in landscape mode or if I turn it 180 in 1 turn, the screen stays in portrait mode upside down. Because the S5 was smaller, I never tried this with it, so I don't know if this an issue specific to Zenfone 2 or not.  Is this an accelerometer issue with the handset, or an Android behaviour that can be modified?
It's not a major issue, butif it's fixable at all, that would be a real bonus.
