Hi all. I was looking at purchasing a WiFi hotspot to enable me to use a local data SIM to provide cheap data while travelling in Europe for my S5. It suddenly dawned on me that I have a Galaxy Mini (S-5570 from memory) sitting in the draw that is never used these days.

Am I correct in assuming that I can just purchase a local data SIM, pop it into this and use it as a hotspot. This seems to be a very simple and easy way of doing it. It almost seems to easy. What am I missing here?

Why not get a sim for your actual phone rather than carry two phones around? Unless of course you need to be contactable on your NZ phone number...
