Hi All.

I bought an Oppo R9s today and in the course of setting it up, I found that it could not see the 5GHz radio in my FritzBox 7490, when the channel set in the FritzBox was in the range of 100-128.

The phone connected OK when channels 36-64 and 149-161 were used. My Meizu M3S phone and my Chromecast connected to all 5GHz channels from the FritzBox. The Oppo phone had the same problem when connecting to a Huawei HG659b router which I had at hand.

I've concluded that the phone is defective but if anyone has any ideas on this, I'd like to hear them.

Thanks

Scott

Kiwifruta: Had the same issue connecting a client's Apple Mac to 5GHz.

They need to address the issue with their wireless configuration - Apple simply get the country code from what the AP is broadcasting.
