Really just need/want an S10e at the moment and the only place which lists it brand new is 1-day. Since it's mostly a discontinued model.

I have heard terrible anecdotes, but has anyone bought this specific model from them? And how was it?

pcman2000:

I suppose it's not that bad of a price, but I remember getting an S10e for $699 in November 2019 at the PBTech Black Friday sale, and it even came with an official LED flip cover.

Yep, serves me right for waiting when they were clearing out stock then.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, was looking for more opinions on 1-day as a retailer but the confidence boost about my model choice was helpful. Bought it a few days ago and it's just arrived. Just going to leave a brief write up here for anyone stumbling on this thread in the future.

The phone that arrived is definitely in new condition, however the Samsung seals on the box were already cut.

It's covered by a 1-day warranty as opposed to Samsung OEM so I suppose they get to define what 'new' means in that context, but not quite sure why they would need to cut the seals for. I've heard the dodgy cases where a new enclosure is used with used innards dropped in, but everything feels super tight in here terms of tolerances so I find it hard to see that.

Judging by the preloaded software and some of the internal packaging, it appears they've got a batch of unsold Australian Optus S10e's which they're selling off — serial no. never been registered with Samsung before. It'll be interesting to see if I have to RMA it for anything, to see what 1-day's process would look like.
