Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get (relatively inexpensively) some fish tape of a reasonable quality for pulling cables in tight spaces? I'd like to do some of my structured cabling that I'm retrofitting tidily if possible, but don't really want to go spend a relative fortune...

Depends on length - electrical suppliers have it last time I checked.

Mitre 10 does but quite dear.

Are you looking for a push-rod or a draw wire? Usually I get most of the tight spaces done with a bit of catenary wire and some cat5 scrap, but occasionally use some 20mm conduit or my fibreglass "fishtape" if trying to push through a ceiling space. We usually have to velcro the cable onto something so its possible to setup the catenary then slide the velcroed up cable down the catenary for 2 or 3 metres.

Time to find a new industry!
