My post was based on diagnosis, not what you want to watch it on or the principle
It works ok on a Pixel 3A phone.....
I can't see any free videos to test, but it gets past login page....
Id like to check the quality of SSN. They mention a top video bitrate of 8Mb which sounds great.
They mention "To check out our video quality, go to our website and try the available highlights. You just need to register first but don't have to purchase anything." I have registered but cant find any highlight footage to demo .

So many have said that. Ive had Sky for years, its great. Spark was better, until they dropped the 60fps. I hear SkySportNow is close to Sky but not as good?
So....Spark was better, now Sky sport streaming is almost Sky satellite? I think FTA terrestrial is 1080p? It looks better than Sky, as did Spark Sport.
Some streamers do 4k, as does BTSport. Yet NZ streaming for both big players is less than a FTA TV aerial?
FTA is 1080i/25; same as most DVB transmissions... progressive resolutions require more bandwidth than interlaced.

Yet my Panny Freeview recorder has a better image. I get that re interlacing, but from what I gather from these threads Progressive doesn't really exist?
All I can say is my Freeview Terrestrial recorder is sharper than Sky
Spark Sport WAS sharper then Sky
I have Sky I like Sky, I'm not anti Sky, I just want the truth.
On 2Degrees gigabit fibre over ethernet, on my Macbook Pro and buffering every few seconds.
No, all good here streaming in 1080p, no buffering, checked ss2 and ss9, on gigabit fibre but not with 2degreees.
I was comparing spark sport (2015 RWC QF Aus v Scotland) and sky sport now replay of the recent Bledisloe cup game (replay on sky sport 1 not VOD highlights) and I think the quality and frame rate are near same from both services, I think Spark sport even had a slight edge where sky sport now showed compression artifacts in parts of slow mo replays and very busy parts of the game briefly.
But as mentioned earlier nothing compares to how good the spark sport F1 60fps looked.
arnies: Anyone else getting buffering all the time tonight? On 2Degrees gigabit fibre over ethernet, on my Macbook Pro and buffering every few seconds.
Not buffering but picture going from really good to really bad when I tested on the RWC test samples. I last tried it out when I first signed up when the RWC buy option first came out and it was fine. Using VDSL

Dad was signed up to Fanpass using the mobile-only plan, which doesn't exist in SSN. Looks like he has now been switched over automatically to SSN. I logged into his account to cancel it for him (as he doesn't want to pay $50/month) and saw that his plan is still listed as "mobile only". I tested it out and it seems to works fine. Stream quality to my eyes is basically the same as the old Fanpass. Does anyone know if the mobile-only Fanpass has been grandfathered (with its pricing) into SSN? He will cancel if not - $17 to $50 is a pretty steep jump.
mobile pricing is being kept for 6 months.
He should have received an email

Perfect - thanks. I'm sure he did but didn't tell me.
