GeoffisPure:

I had a door to door salesman tonight and signed up for basic + movies for $39 per month.  Not too bad.

Does that include mySky? or is that for one of their new set top boxes that they can make you pay extra for the recording capability?

Well after contacting Sky and letting then know I was going to be canceling my subscription they have discounted my subscription for another 3 months,
Sky Basic, Sky Sports, MySky+ & HD Ticket for $79.91/month. No fixed term and at the end of the 3 months I am free to cancel my sub with 28 days notice

Hey I just came here (today) to share the great deal I got from my friends at sky.
Just remember folks, if you are finishing up on an old "great deal" always ask for a new deal and you just might get what you're after or at least a discount on the standard rate.

Completely agree with @networkn

The thread was already hijacked with enough off topic discussion with others.  Now you are just rubbing it in.  Time to move on.

I apologise for the off topic chat, but I don't apologise for making people aware that you can get a further discount if you ask and that is what this thread is all about
