apocalypso: Would you mind sharing how you obtained this please? Thinking about getting Sky on for 6months for Olympics and winter sport, has been about 8 years since we last had it!
Cheers
DO you have good internet and do you want to be able to record?

12 month contract with 20% discount I believe it was. Its up for renewal in October/November although the 50% off Sky TV and Sky fibre for 6 months (12 month contract) is quite appealing.

Thanks for sharing that, was not aware of it and may be a suitable alternative.
We do not have Fibre in our area so the "best" deal I could see available to me on their website https://www.sky.co.nz/offers was 50% off Sky Starter and Sky Sport for 3 months which is $34 p/m for 3 months then full price of $68 p/m for 9 months, equal to $59.50 over 12 months - the length of the contract term. Fair bit more than the $36 per month that used to be available from their promotions line!
Just got an email from Sky, its rewards time again and they have given me the Entertainment package for 2 months for free. Nice!

I got the SkySportNow $299 Annual deal that was announced here a while ago. I must keep an eye on that as will definitely cancel once that deal expires in Nov. Paying far too much to watch just golf and very occasionally a rugby or league match.

Especially now that the price is $449.99.
Yes - that was the deal then too - $449.99 less $150 discount.
Was paying $56.95 for Sky Pod with sport after the switch from Vodafone TV. The 12 month discount recently ended and it went up to $67.99 which was getting a bit steep (almost 20% increase). I still need it for sport though as the main things I follow are on Sky. Just phoned and asked about a discount and they gave me 25% off for 12 months which takes it down to $50.30 so happy with that. Got a "rewards" email last week giving me entertainment and Soho free for 2 months (which we probably won't use much, if at all) so I thought they might just offer those for a couple more months or something instead of knocking money off. Was hoping they would reduce it to a bit closer to the previous price, didn't expect a larger discount.
Usually feel a bit awkward asking for a discount but that was easy so happy with that. Maybe they've had a lot of people asking as everyone is looking to cut back on things at the moment so they' rather keep you at a discount than have you cancel entirely.
Am cancelling Sky today: massive increase in price with an inferior hard product (the "new" box).
I wonder how they're doing with subscriptions now? I imagine a good portion of people would only have Sky's satellite service for sports, I daresay their other services (Movies, etc) aren't nearly as popular now as they used to be.
I haven't renewed my annual Sky Sports Now subscription. A year ago I paid $299 for 12 months, now it's $499. I understand I got it on sale last time but I just can't stomach shelling our $499 for a pixelated mess.
My wife and I watched the Rugby last night on Stan Sports. The Wallabies/Wales game after it was shown in 4K. Watched a bit of 4K tennis from Wimbledon also. For $20/mth less than than SSN we also have access to Stan's catalogue of entertainment on demand.
