Hi I just installed a new tv (Sony Bravia KDLW670A) and trying to get it to work with the mysky decoder using an hdmi cable.

I initially connected the two with an hdmi cable only, however it only shows a blank pink screen, sometimes when I cycle between inputs I see the planner screen but it is very pink and def not hd.

When I add the scart connector between decoder and tv it solves this and i get a good picture, can I operate both devices with only an hdmi cable? problem is I need these ports on the tv for other inputs.

My old tv, LG HD tv also had to have both cables connected for it to work.

Thanks in advance

Dion

Just tried third or fourth (lost count) hdmi cable and sorted!!!!!

Oh and for the record when the sky technician initially installed it he couldnt get it working without the scart cable and couldnt answer why, i just always assumed i had to had both. it was only after purchasing a tv with fewer conectors that i needed to try.

Thanks everyone for your help

Regards

Dion
