We have a pre-HD MySky decoder (silver box). Sometimes it refuses to respond to pause/rewind commands from the remote, and some few seconds after the attempt the audio emits a loud click similar to the noise it makes when you cycle the power. Just lately it has taken to doing a full power-on restart when this occurs, and throwing away recordings in progress.

The weather has been quite warm, so it could be a thermal fault, but I was wondering if anyone had some anecdotal evidence of this behaviour before I confront the Sky phone wall.

Spyware:

Prepare for its imminent death, phone Sky, and they'll install a nice Kaon box.

If it's not dead soon it will be. Call sky and they will replace it. Video what happens so the tech can see incase it is not doing it on that day.

@spyware, a plus 1 to you.
