I have Sky set up to record the 6pm news, however have just found more than 30 episodes recorded...

depending on the location of the news in the planner the only way is to manually delete them, or set the box to auto disk management, this deletes the first thing on the planner (be it news or movie or sport) just whats first. It does this when the disk is full.

I use the auto disk management, and it works well. You can also control what it deletes - just view something for a second or two to mark it as "viewed", and it will be deleted before anything that is not viewed, and mark it as Keep to keep it from ever being deleted.
