I see some very affordable DVB-T modulators over on AliExpress, for example
Has anyone bought one of these, and will it work with the HDMI output of my Sky box, or will the DHCP kill it?

kryptonjohn: I have one of those but haven't got it working yet as it can't cope with hdcp input. Will put this back on my to do list.
Can you solve that by a $2 HDMI switch from Aliexpress? My 2 port switch seems to strip HDCP

Please report back here when/if you do...
Cheers,
Ok sorry for the delay in getting back. I had issues getting a hdmi splitter working - the only reason for the splitter is to remove HDCP. Without that, the dvb-t modulator won't cope with the sky decoder's HDCP.
So... put through that and it now works well. I split mine to a downstairs tv and a bedroom so both those TVs can watch whatever the decoder is playing, in flawless digital HD.
There's one thing that's broken for me though. My TV and soundbar have HDMI-ARC but putting the splitter between the sky decoder and the tv has broken it. Have had to revert to connecting the sky decoder to the soundbar with an optical cable for now, which loses the ARC functionality.
I just saw the TV has optical out - should resolve my issues there...
