Hi guys, just found this forum and it looks like a friendly place. Cool

I'm thinking of getting mysky for my HD LCD screen and I was wondering what cords they supply with Mysky? Do they just supply poor quality component cords or do they give you an HDMI cable?

Hopefully the HD content makes it worthwhile as well, I'm mainly going to be getting it for the recording facility as well so I can watch more of the TV when I want it. There's lots of cool documentaries on sky that I always miss because I forget they're on so with mysky can you just set heaps of programs to record at the beginning of the month after going through the sky magazine?

Sorry if this has been answered in another thread, but I couldn't see any answers in the other threads at least to the first question.

Thanks for your help.

Welcome aboard.

They supply an HDMI cable.

Yes you can setup recordings but only a week ahead. However the series link feature allows you to automatically record every episode of a series with a single entry.

Cool, I read about the series link and it looks like a feature that will come in very handy. A week ahead should be good enough too means I can check the magazine a week ahead and then record anything that week I don't series link then like movies or sport.

Thank you for the help. The quality of HDTV I'm looking forward too with movies and sport because the quality of it on regular sky is so bad. What are the shows like Heroes on TV3 like? are they HD? Smile

I don't watch a lot of TV3. However my observation is the HD Sport is really good, gobsmackingly so sometimes. Can't say I feel the same about movies or TV3 although they are better than some of the other highly compressed sky channels.

Once you have had Mysky you won't want to be without it. Recort 2 channels, watch a third, great. I find I prefer recording FTA so I can skip the ads, even just starting to watch 20 mins after start time is worth it.

Can they still supply component cables? We are getting Mysky installed today, but we don't have a HD TV - we just want it for the recording + larger hdd.

They do supply component cables. I ordered these free of charge through sky customer services with my digital sky subscription
