never had sky before but am looking at getting it, now i dont want to cheat the systyem or anything like that,but is paying an extra $25 a month to get mysky Hdi with the HD ticket currently the only way to get HD sky?

I believe you can pay a one off $600 fee, and then there is no extra $15 decoder rental. That's the deal I took.

How ever if/when you terminate sky you have to give decoder back.

The $600 includes installation, where as there's a $49 installation fee on the $15 a week rental one.

If you have multi room ($25 a month) the HD ticket cost is waived, otherwise $10 a month for HD ticket. They were offering first three months multi room free, not sure if that offer still available.

i wish it was a lil cheaper, any one have a reason why you have to pay $10 more to use the same box?

The $10 is for the HD ticket not the box. Can get the same box and elect not to get HD on it and then there is no $10 HD charge.

For each HD channel, about 3? SD channels could have been put in it's place so more expensive on skys side, they will want to recover that money, plus money been spent on equipment, infrastructure, they'll want to make a return on investment. Then if enough people fail to take it up, there's risk of sky losing money on it.

The current offer is 4 months free multiroom and HD ticket:)
