Following is our experience with Sky ? up to you if you decide to cancel your direct debit with them.
3 weeks ago around $40 was to be direct debited for Sky. Instead, $590 was taken. It took us nearly 2 weeks of begging, pleading and demanding, and over a dozen calls and e-mails, to get our money back.
Not a single manager would either take, or return, our calls. Despite us missing paying bills because we didn't have enough money in our account, Sky refused to credit us back the money any earlier than their "standard refunds process" dictated.
Eventually we succeeded - and it was clear that they thought they were doing us a "favour". And to make up for the stress and hassle caused? No apology, but free movies for a month. Which we don't even subscribe to because we don't watch many movies.
Thank you Sky - you behave exactly like a company with no competition and no interest in keeping customer's happy.
So over to you, Geekzoners, if you want to keep your Direct Debit with Sky.
We do not.
