Sky Sport 4-8 are now live and active.  Currently showing the test pattern.

SS4 and SS5 on 12732H and SS6, SS7 and SS8 on 12392H

9 channels on 12732, and 8 on 12392.  That's quite a lot really.  Looking at the channels they share with, I guess these were ex-Box Office channels.

The auxiliary channel on 12643H is also active, showing mosaic.  It isn't interactive at all it seems.

you'd think they could borrow the Freeview|HD demo channel for a few weeks.

I notice that Prime HD is MPEG audio, not AC3 (unless it gets changed when it goes live)

Disappointed with the coverage so far, watching the hockey and the commentary is like a second or two ahead and I thought it would all be HD, have only seen HD stuff on Prime HD but thats not even live...

You would think so especially after advertizing the opening ceremony in HD on Prime on FV over the weekend.

Whats with the crowds? The stadiums have been empty for almost every event. For the Netball between NZ and PNG there were only a few dozen people... coverage has been ok but not great. Don't think much of the commentators but I do like the Mosaic Channel on Sky 130).

I suspect the sync issue might be cos the commentators for some games are actually in New Zealand, they add the commentary in later.

Coverage hasn't been too bad so far.

Security probably denied them all entry

I noticed there were only like 3-4 people at the NZ v Wales hockey game lol

I only watched for an hour or so yesterday but Ive got to be honest and say its been a massive let down so far.

Awful picture quality, second rate commentators, appalling attendances, stadia still being worked on.

If it continues like this I just wont bother.
