Hello

We have Sky Digital in our living room. I am wanting to get Sky or even just being able to view the channel which is on in the living room, in my bedroom. My bedroom is on the otherside of the house however and dont want to have a cable running through the whole house or buying a second decoder. Is their a way where i can get sky in my bedroom?

A Wireless AV sender will probably best suit your needs, if you don't want to run any cables :)

Can be found most places, Dick Smith, Trademe, Jaycar, just search for either wireless av receiver or wireless av sender

I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

Just be prepared to spend a lot of money to get one that works without too much interference....

if your not on a tight budget then Multi room is great for $25 a month you can get a 2nd decoder in your room and installation is free and you get all the channels you main decoder does

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Agreed, the 5.8GHz seem to be alright, but the 2.4s are junk

I'd seriously just considering cabling under or above the house(or outside it with conduit)

There is always iSky, if you have a compatible device in the bedroom...

Can't comment on quality or usefulness of iSky though.

yes but you need to run coax to the bedroom to use it. Also you will only get composite so quality won't be the best (but it is the same with a av sender)

but obviously not that, its far too expensive. Get one with a far lower power output limit like 100mW, it will cover your house no problem, and probably every other house in your street.
