Niel: Sky is also phoning customers for free upgrade to MySky + free 6 months rental (i.e. the $15 fee) if you sign a 12 month contract. I don't think they give the option for ($600) purchase though.I got called re this, but then they told me I'd have to buy a modulator if I wanted to keep getting the sky signal down in hte bedroom (which gets there via a splitter)! Cost of modulator: $50! I said no thanks, as that's what I was supposed to save by them giving me 6 months anyway.
But I'm sceptical, Sky is going to release a 500GB version and I'm told also a 1TB version so possibly getting rid of old stock.
