Howdy,

Not sure where to post this..

When you install an Arial cable going from the roof and into the side of the house you make a small hole to poke the cable through and then you use silicone around the area,
My question is: Should the Silicone be replaced from time to time? Answers for both UV resistant and normal Silicone types please.

Thanks

Provided there is no strain or flex at the joint it should be OK for many years (either type) but I would still check it occasionally (like once a year when you clean the outside of the house).

I Assume whomever does this knows to only make the hole as big as it has to be in ordder to squeeze the cable through.
