I normally use/buy GSM phones, but need a 1xRTT (or EV-DO would be better) phone for comparative testing.

The phone must have Bluetooth and be able to be used for Dial-Up Networking with WM5/Win CE devices.

Ideally it would be from Nokia or Motorola, or a major brand available in the US.

I don't need any other features (ie don't care about web browsers, synchronizing data etc. etc.).
I don't want "bleeding edge" technology, just something reliable and representative of a good data phone running on the Telecom network.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

The fact that most Bluetooth connections are limited to 115.2k makes it pointless having something faster anyway.

Try something like the Nokia 6165 it had Bluetooth with CDMA 1x RTT. As sbiddle said, no point using EVDO with BT

The new 6275 is supposed to be EVDO

Thanks for the suggestions everyone - the Nokia 6165 looks ideal.

I assume the $59 (open term) 1GB plan would be the best deal around at the moment for data plans?

I don't intend doing a lot with the phone (eg maybe up to 400MB per month).

Cool - thanks again for your help everyone - saved me a lot of time.

I've tried buying a Telecom phone in the past but got extremely frustrated when sales people kept telling me utter rubbish about the handsets ("No manufacturer puts Bluetooth on their phones anymore because it's a security risk" etc.etc.)

Just a point of note. The Mobile Broadband 1GB plus, 1GB plus open, MB200 plus and MB200 plus plans are only available for data cards & Telecom PDAs. You will have to settle for the more expensive Standard Mobile Data Plans for standard handsets.
