Hi all

Im new to the site so sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum.

I am switching to the 3 network tommorow (Australian) and i have a couple of questions relating to it:

1. Is the network worth it?

2.i have the choice over a SE K610I or a NOKIA 6288, which one is better? i am currently sold over the SE but reviews on the net point towards the 6288, so i came looking for "expert" advice here.

3. The Nokia has EDGE technology should that tip the scales towards it?

4. I may use my phone as a modem at times (very rarely though) i would like to know which of the phones would present a better connection speed, or indeed is it even worth using a phone as a modem?

Thanks for replis and sorry for boring you with so much on my first post.

Some quick comments:

1. Yes, but check coverage, if you travel a lot within Australia. Otherwise check that you can roam in some other network when coverage is not available, and if there's any fee.

2. I have no experience with neither, so pass....

3. EDGE is not available on 3, and you shouldn't need to worry about it.

4. In reality you will get pretty much the same speed. But check if you can actually use the phone with this purpose - either if your account would allow it, how much would cost, and if the phone itself has the required software driver (if using via cable) or supports Bluetooth DUN (if over Bluetooth).
