Have a T610 and had it for about two months now. First thing was unbranding it which was great but now would be interested in other users battery usage.

I have found that a fully charged T610 lasts for a maximum of 5 days even with limited use, and I really mean limited - one text and one two/three minute call. This I think is appauling but what are your thoughts?

I have also been told location plays a major factor. Being in centre of New Plymouth and phone is normally in back bedroom - I have 2/3 yellow green bars. Not too sure if that is good or bad - I would personally say medium strength.

So looking forward to replies and I'll try and summarise all findings.

So to start the stats

average 5 days is good I don't know what u are on about, and it does depend on many things how often the phone moves around as well and distance from the cell site. The network also talks to the phone every so often as well (about every 4 hours) and that time frame is up to the network operator.

If you are getting 5 days u have nothing to worry about

Thanks for reply.
Okay I may have jumped the gun thinking that 5 days was poor but my old Nokia lasted at least 10-15 days. I do realise that its location location location but being in middle of town I would have expected more. (may not be major in NZ's eyesz but NP is a major town in Taranaki and the tower is not too far away!).

Being a new phone I would have expected more and the advertising information/pamphletin the shop says up to 250hours. Thats 10.5 days so I was expecting more than 5 days without usage.

The battery life that you're getting seems to be consistent with what I get out of mine, and I'm quite happy with it. Handsets with colour displays tend to put more of a drain on batteries, which might explain why your old handset acheived better battery life.

Also, as mentioned, signal strength and movement will also affect battery life. Have you considered moving to a flat city like Christchurch or Palmerston North? :)
