How could I bridge my P800 GPRS connection via bluetooth in order to acces net ressources on a laptop? (SE P800 and Sony VAIO C1-MHP)

Thanks

Freddy, I don't know what Bluetooth software you have in the Vaio (I believe is the Widcomm), so I'll try to explain based on this (someone else correct me if I'm wrong!):

First you have to pair the devices. Once they "know" each other the services offered can be used between them. On the SE P800, tap Control Pannel | Connections and you'll see Bluetooth there!

Second, you have to install the Sony Ericsson software from the CD. It'll create a virtual modem with the software required to use your P800.

Then you'll right click "My Network Places" and select Properties. From there create a new connection, like a normal modem. Make sure to check the "I'll select the modem" option.

After you create the connection, still on your laptop double-click the "My Bluetooth Places" and open the icon corresponding to the Sony Ericsson P800. you'll see the services offered, just right-click "Connect Dial-up Networking".

I'll publish a guide this weekend with images on how to do this!

This was quicker than I thought: have a look in our new guide on how to connect a laptop/desktop to the internet using a Bluetooth GPRS mobile.
