I have a Toshiba e800 with Windows mobile 2003SE. I have a Socket communications CF bluetooth card with new drivers. I am trying to connect it via bluetooth to a Nokia 3650 phone. I am pretty much tech oriented, and believe I followed the directions for both parts of the setup reliably (although, of course, there is always room for error). The toshiba says it is connecting to my Nokia dialup using bluetooth, and the phone indicates it is in fact dialing, but it times out and disconnects. Could you offer some help on what I might be doing wrong? As a means of troubleshooting, I have also tried to just dial my home phone and it doesn't ring, either. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide. I am trying to use GPRS on ATT wireless service in the US.

Can you configure an e-mail account on your 3650 and download e-mails via GPRS? If yes, then the phone is ok. Next thing is having a look at configuration on your Pocket PC. After creating the pairing and the connection, make sure the number to dial is *99# or *99***1# (where 1 is the CID, the GPRS configuration in your phone).

Also you might have to change the APN, by using a init string like +CGDCONT=1,,"internet", where "internet" should be the APN name (including quotes!).

AT&T Wireless will be able to tell you the correct user/password and APN name to use there.
