Has anybody in Chch or Auckland noticed many WCDMA panels appearing on any Voda sites yet? Here in Wgtn they seem to be making fairly good progress at installing the new panels, I wonder if Vodafone are going to try and push things along for a launch this side of Xmas to try and take the cherry off the T3G launch?

I honestly haven't noticed any around Christchurch. Perhaps Wellington is being used as a test bed before the rollout goes nationwide?

Like a Antenna, 3G is a overlay so depending on the number of sectors you will see more

Their panels are quite skinny and long, similair in appearance to the Voda 1800Mhz panels and the existing WCDMA panels Woosh are rolling out on the Vodafone sites as well.

I'll try and remember to take my camera to the end of the st over the weekend and take a photo for you.

Woosh and Vodafone have a deal to co-site their equipment on Vodafone sites which gives Vodafone a resell agreement. Their 4 sites in Wellington are all co-sited with Vodafone.

There are a few pictures on here of one of the Auckland sites which has both

All of the sites in Wgtn are buildings, none are standalone masts. We do have the Police UHF antennas mounted on numerous Vodafone sites down here 1/2 way up though!

Are you after the 3G panels or the Woosh ones?
