Does anyone know about the pc sync capabilities the 7400?

Mines currently charging up and i am wondering how to get all my contacts on it.

I have been using a Nokia for a while and enjoy the great pc suite software they have. It syncs with outlook great and real easy.

I have a cable from a Sanyo 8100 and hopefully it fits it but im not sure what software willl sync with outlook for the 7400? A friend has Snap Sync for his 8100 but im not sure if it will work plus i wasn't overly impressed when i seen it working.

Any ideas would be great.

Hi phatbloke, the 7400 is officially 'under investigation' as far as the Susteen Datapilot software goes. We've already been in discussions with Susteen and they've only just received a 7400 over in the states for testing. Once compatibility for that's been resolved we'll be looking at trying to get the New Zealand release going.

For the moment the 4920 & 7400 are both 'under investigation' ie: not supported by the NZ Datapilot 'yet'.

Hi

I tried bitpim http://bitpim.sf.net and it worked. Managed to put all my contacts from outlook on the phone. Had a few hiccups but all sorted now. The phone isn't officially supported by the software but i choose the old 8100 an it worked fine.

Im glad it worked as i was a bit worried i'd have to input 300 odd work contacts into the ph

Anywho the sync is still similar to the 8100 if anyone is wondering. You can still only fit 4 ringtones in the pc sync area and about 10 images. The phone can obviously fit a WHOLE lot more but they obviously have restriced this so that you have to buy them via the download option from telecom's site. Secondly there are no games or applications and once again you have to download these you cannot transfer them from the cable. Hopefully one day the software gurus could figure a way round it and put all the pc transfered data into the download area but till then im not too fussed.
