Hey ya'll. I have recently purchased a Nokia 6225 mobile phone and i have a tiny problem. Whenever i recieve a MMS the phone ALWAYS beeps. even when the whole phone is set to silent it still beeps. Have i just got an old version of the software or is this a well known problem? Because it's extremely annoying.
do u also find that when u recieve a picture message the photo is alot smaller than wat they actauly are when u send them?? i thought this was a telecom prob, but my mate has the nokia model with the funny buttons and whn i pxt him it comes out the normal full siz of the screen. all our setting are on high quality- yet i always get a pint-sized image. any help??
Yeah i have that problem too. Its especially annoying when trading backgrounds and whenever i need hi-res pictures. Anyone know how we can fix these problems? or are we just going to have to live with it? Because it get extremely annoying..
i am most annoyed that my mate has the cheaper nokia and it recieves pxts in full size.......
i askd telecom but they dnt seem to have a clue....
infact i think i know more about there network than them and i know bugger all....
anyone help???? i think its called automatic compression or sumthing?
I would say the network is compressing the image down to ensure compatibility with all handsets. I would expect to see minor adjustments made to the photo messaging platform over time as the tweak it for best performance.
I will happily give you a full refund for all the photo messages you have sent from that handset so far...
could someone please help... i just got my nokia 6225 and when i got it there was not a minibrowser on the menu then i entered this code *#2769737# and i enabled it....
the problem now when i go to the messages menu there are only these three sub menus...
1. Text Messages
2. Voice Message
3. Minibroswer Messages
Hi all, we have two Nokia 6225's and one 3205 - both capable of MMS and photo messaging. My comment relates to how these 6225's recieve a photo message. It seems that if i take a snap on a 6225 and send it to my 3205 the picture is as i took it, however if i recieve photo from either another 6225 or 3205 etc the picture is really distorted and the whole message is shrunk to under 2Kb.
After 4 phone calls to Telecom i finally got to speak to someone who seems to know. There has been a firmware upgrade to the 6225's in the last few weeks that supposed to fix this issue with 6225's recieving photo's.
now we all have to take our phones into a Telecom dealer with proof of purchase for them to reprogram and flash our handsets. $500 and we all have to send them back. No mention of a recall.
Typical Telecom, sell us locked up functionless paperweights.
BTW you can check your firmware version with *#837# if it reads "V H100V0700.nep" and you have a 6225, this means your handset requires the upgrade and recieving photos will be poor until you do.
The latest version for the 6225 is VH100V1900.nep this was released on the 24th August 2004. There have been no further updates or revisions. The service agent in NZ for Nokia is Accord Customer Care. I suggest that you send them an email to find out what paper work they need from you service@accordccs.co.nz
There should not be a charge as this firmware release fixes known issues.
I have the latest software(VH100V1900.nep) on my 6225 and i still recieve tiny pictures always under 100x100 this is from any phone and when sending the same happens.
i have a question about the minibrowser on my nokia 6225. every time i try to connect a sign would come out saying 502 bad gateway. what does that mean and how can i use my minibrowser.
please help me!!!!!!! i would appriciate it alot thanks
has anyone managed to upgrade the software on their 6225 yet??
i took mine into a telecom dealer and they didnt seem to have a clue what i was talking about..... i just want to recieve pxts in the normal size.
