I bought a used P168 cellphone in the USA suposedly unlocked,and bougt a Vodafone sim card for it here in NZ and no matter what I do,it tells me there is "no service".Can anyone help with this please???

GSM 850/900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz with the specs like that it should definitely work, the radio may be broken. Did it use to work before? Always get a known brand of phone, not a clone.

Perhaps it is manually switched to 850MHz? Try changing band selection to 900/1800MHz.
