That would indicate that the ringtones on the site yopu mention are in audio format. Your phone needs to access a dd or dr file.

These files are drm wrappers, and let the phone know what to do with the audio file once it is downloaded. A dd file is mearly a descriptor file that tells the application mamanger in the phone where to save it, what kind of file it is (midi ringtone, jpeg wallpaper etc), the file size, and a name for the file. There are several other optional components to a dd file.

A dr file garbs the content and all the DRM configuration information and wraps it up in a binary file, which is then decoded by a client on the handset.

If the file is just content without a descriptor, the handset simply diplays or plays it in the browser.

You can find a very large repository of information about this sort of stuff in the Nokia Forums.

Just be aware that you will be "off-site" surfing for these downloads, and you can run up quite a bill!
