I have a Samsung X609 that I want to use with PC Link software and as a wireless modem. While Windows XP recognises the phone as a Samsung CDMA, I can't find any drivers nor does the Samsung PC Link software recognise the phone is there.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks
Murray

Send private message

call 0800927987 and they will walk you through it, and email you the drivers if need be.

Good luck!!

Also check in the PC link sorftware, under tools, configuration. The comm port. It seems to randomly select which com port it should be using. The only way to find out is to manually try each one until you get the connection. The modem drivers are on the same disk as the PC link software.

Thanks. Telecom said to contact the cable supplier. I bought the cable from Trademe and it came without any drivers. I have since emailed the seller and he gave me instructions and links to download the software/drivers from, and I now have everything working fine.

By the way, the sellers instructions for selecting the Com Port are:

"You need to configure com port so phone communicates with PC Link 1.0 Go to device manager select modems and then Samsung phone click on properties and see which com port the phone is using alternatively you can do this in the modems section.

Then in PC Link go to configuration and select appropriate port"

This would seem to be a little more precise than selecting ports at random.

Thanks.
