I have an unbranded W995 which I want to use with vodafone.

Unfortunately the W995 is not listed in their drop down list for devices to have the settings automatically sent to your phone & then installed.

What is the best way around this - would a similar phone from that list work or should I manually copy the settings over from my old phone (w800i) ?

I used the Aino settings in the end.

I spent about 2 weeks researching out phones. I don't want a smartphone so ruled out the iphone/HTC/Samsung etc.

I have owned three phones since 98 - an analog Ericsson, a T65 and a w800i walkman phone.

After much reviewing reading I settled on the w995 though it didn't get as many positive reviews as the w800i did in it's day.

I am quite happy with it but my biggest gripes are: short battery life (though I have been using a lot of extra features that I normally wouldn't on a day to day basis) / The phone sometimes 'freezes' for a few seconds when doing certain things (I've flashed it to the latest firmware) / the GPS is slow to connect.

But I like the media player, the facebook client, the youtube client, the 3G connectivity and the general layout of the phone.
