Been reading a few of the older threads, e.g. http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=97&topicid=71242 and on the market for a $200 ish smartphone.

Was going to go for a vodafone 845 from trademe but the Ideos seems to have a better rep? Seem to be going for about the same amount of cash, with the 845 a bit cheaper..

What would you choose?

Ideos every time (and I have a VF845!!)

It's a no brainer with capacitive screen and Froyo

Ideos

Had a play with both and the Ideos came out on top.

Unless the 845 is way cheaper, get the IDEOS..

Vodafone have bumped the price of the VF845 to $249 rrp - it's now simply not worth it the Ideos is a better phone for the price - you can pick up brand new ones on trade me for $150-180

Thanks for the response, ideos definitely then - going on trademe for 150-200, a bit more than the 845 but looks worth the difference..
