I too replaced an image from one of backups on the new Tivo I got last night using WinMFS
This was using a stock Tivo GREEN drive.
Everything appears to have worked, taking me back to the set up screen.
BUT this was a stock Tivo drive.
Hi All, Just reconnected again to the new mothership. Something has changed, Time on tivo is now correct. Yay. Should be mostly functional now.
'Spong' Must have got through.
FlanManNZ:TonyS071: I must be missing something, but has the concept of putting a redirect into the home router that intercepts requests from a stock standard TiVo that are heading toward the nz mothership and sending them instead to the new Aussie one been considered?
Can domestic routers even do that?
The traffic was encrypted. That’s why the mod was required.
If your Tivo is showing Pre-Daylight Saving Time (i.e the displayed time in System Information is one hour out) , check this out.
A modification has been made to the emulator (OzTivo mothership) to resolve this problem being seen by some modified Tivo owners. This has been happening in some cases, if your Tivo wasn't connected when Daylight saving started this year, and some have seen it after a Clear & Delete.
Please try the following in this order, and report back what you needed to do, to resolve it. If the problem is resolved at step 1 (Check the System Information menu when you've done this) don't progress to the next step. If not, progress to step 2 and recheck and so on.
1. Try a manual connect to the mothership by going to the Network menu, and connect to the Tivo service
2. Try a new Guided Setup from the Restart or Reset System Menu.
3. Try a Clear & Delete followed by a Guided Setup. Note: You'll lose your recordings and HNP if you have one.

Well #1 came up with a Fail when connecting
#2 worked and corrected the time.
But mine still says that its been over 30 days since connection when i press the guide button.
No biggy i guess at this point
Has yours been modded yet tony as it can't connect to anything until it is.
The old Tivo mothership got turned off last friday
The new OZTivo mothership is on 140.

I had to do a full clear and delete #3 to fix mine.
I was having all sorts of guide problems, no guide, guide in 3 days etc..
Now mine is stable with a full 7 day guide.
I lost HNP but I've never used it anyway.

If you ask on the OzTivo forum someone might be able to help, but I think thats already been tried, It was something to do with the mod and the chip that has to be replaced.

Is anyone parting out a Tivo they have tried to chip and not been successful?
I need a new fan! Can anyone help?

Nope, it hasn't been modified. I want to try an experiment and see if I can redirect the internet traffic being sent from from my unmodified TiVo to be sent to the new mothership instead. To do that I need the Iv4 IP adddress (assuming its using IPv4) of the new mothership, not its dial code. Xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
I rate my Chances of success low, but a line of code in a router would be WAY simpler than having to unsolder/resolder proms and hard drive patching. I already killed one TiVo going down that route...
I can say that a number of pretty clever people have already explored that route without success. I don't know the specifics, but it was hoped a simpler method the the current one would work.

Oh no. I have run out of tivo's to mod.
Anyone else in the Tauranga area that needs the job done.
PM me if so.
Simon.
Just got mine back from Symondo. Dropped them off yesterday, picked them up today.
All four are now happily connected to the new mothership.
Thanks again Simon!!!
