Hi TiVo devotees. The programme guide on our modified TiVos has become "to be announced" for every channel and I have no idea how to update it. My husband, Maxcat, was on this forum but he died suddenly last month leaving me no instructions for anything. Does anyone have any information on how to update the programme guide? Tried rebooting but no use.

more than likely its lost its network connection, press the tivo button, messages and settings, settings, network.

check the status on the left side, if it's failed then check your internet connection, is it wireless or wired? if it's wifi then you will need the wifi details and need to make the changes, if it ethernet then check the cable between the tivo and your router

And so my son and I tried but couldn't figure out which of the dozens of boxes and cables actually created the network. Turned everything on but couldn't get the network going and have no idea what a DHCP is.

Where do you live? A friendly local geekzoner might be able to call in and help.

Same here. Happening for a few days now. Network connected via wifi and clearly says connected. I confirmed this on both tivo and router. But when i try and connect to tivo service, I keep getting the message network cable unplugged. I have restarted the tivo multiple times and even the router and get the same issue.

Solved it! Found the little WiFi gizmos and rummaged through a thousand cords to find ones that fitted. Now downloading Programme info by WiFi instead of through Ethernet. Seems to work!
Thanks for useful info!
