I was recently given a 16mm sound projector with quite a few films, some are on proper reels, but some are on what I think are called cores, where the centre hole is larger (about an inch wide) than a normal reel. Image of what I am talking about here http://us.123rf.com/450wm/gavran333/gavran3331510/gavran333151000015/46860061-16mm-film-reel-on-white-wooden-background.jpg

Anyway, I would like to get these films on to proper reels, so I am guessing I need some sort of adapter, but where would you find one? I have a hand winder as well, but again that only takes the normal size reel.

Any help is much appreciated.

Trade Me  or Ebay.  I got some 8mm reals from Ebay last year so I suspect that there will be 16mm ones as well.  Maybe the National Film Library..
